On November 28th there was a meeting about the formation of the first conference of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in the Vatican. The thirty people who were present had to the opportunity to learn about the structure of the Society, the ministry of the members and the Vincentian blessed and saints.

A group of thirty members of an association that was created by Pope Pius XII has decided to embrace the Vincentian charism by practicing charity as members of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. The meeting took place in one of the rooms in the Vatican Observatory, a floor below the offices of Pope Francis and near the Sistine Chapel.

The conference, to be known as the Conference of Saint Peter and Paul, will be formally established in January 2020 and the International President of the Society, Renato Lima, will participate in the first meeting of this conference.

This is an historic moment for the Society and for the worldwide Vincentian Family
