Dear Brothers and Sisters:
The International Vincentian Family has invited us to express ourselves in song, that is, to express experiences, sentiments and inspirations that arise from the life and thoughts and ministry of our founders who were followers of Jesus Christ and servants of those who were poor and marginalized.
Recently, I had a wonderful experience. During the Triduum in honor of our Founder, I was reading a reflection about Vincent de Paul. As I continued to read, I began to compose the words of a song that express some of the reasons to belong to the Vincentian Family and to be a follow of Christ in the manner of Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac. I am not a singer or a composer and I do not play any musical instrument, I simply allowed myself to be guided by the Holy Spirit.
I would like to share with you this song (no musical notation) entitled, Legado de amor (Legacy of Love). I do this so that you can understand that if you are travelling along the path of mission and charity, it is because you are animated by the mysticism of our charism.
