The International Center of Vincentian Formation (CIF) offers a time of formation for renewal in our charism and spirituality.

This program is open to the members of those congregations and associations that are inspired by our charism, more specifically, the program is open to religious and to those lay person who are involved in the many different Vincentian ministries and/or  who are ministering with the various associations of the Vincentian Family.

This program focuses on the Vincentian family: how to collaborate in our shared ministry on behalf of those persons who are poor, clarifying the original inspiration of St. Vincent so that it can be deepened, reflecting on various aspects of Vincentian spirituality and Vincentian approaches to today’s social problems. This program includes pilgrimages to some of the Vincentian places in the different parts of France. Throughout the program the participants will be encouraged to participate in the various spiritual and community activities that are intended to strengthen the bonds of unity.

I would ask you not only to invite members of the Congregation of the Mission, but to extend that invitation to all the members of the worldwide Vincentian family … in particular, to those lay people who minister in our different works: schools, administration, charitable works, etc. The province will surely be enriched by the formation of the laity.

Remember that this formation will not only benefit the congregation, the province, the movements, the established educational and social institutions, but also the poor whom we serve.

Where will this CIF Meeting be held? The program will be held at the Motherhouse of the Congregation of the Mission (95 rue de Sèvres, Paris. Postal Code 75006) and is easily accessible by public transport. At the end of the program the participants will be given a certificate of completion.

When will this CIF Meeting be held?  From Friday, August 2 to Monday, August 26, 2019. We have changed to the month of August, since this is a time of vacation for many people and thus, this program becomes accessible to more people.

The program will be conducted in three languages: Spanish, French and English. The total cost of the program is € 1,900 (this includes lodging, meals, formation sessions, pilgrimages, hotels, tickets to museums and didactic material).

Needless to say, those selected for this program should have a desire to deepen their understanding of the Vincentian charism and spirituality and should also have an ability to live in community with others.

Since the Motherhouse in Paris receives many visitors, the use of the rooms needs to be coordinated with the house council. All registrations for this program must be received by July 15, 2019 and the number of registrations is limited to 30.
