The preschool children of Nazareth School, Chatra (India), decided to share the joy of Christmas with the newborn, poor children at a nearby government hospital. They named this activity ‘A Gift for a Newborn.’ The young children were filled with amusement and joy when they saw the newborns in the laps of their mothers, and it reminded them of how they were held lovingly by their own mothers when they were small babies.
They sang “Jingle Bells” and captured the attention of everyone in the hospital. They wished everyone a Happy Christmas and distributed the gifts they brought for each newborn child. The mothers and relatives were beaming with joy and were very grateful since they could hardly afford to give the newborns enough warm clothes. We deeply appreciate the generosity and cooperation of the parents of the preschool. May the Child Jesus bless them all abundantly.
