On the anniversary of the establishment of the Confraternities of Charity, I am struck by a still under the radar phenomenon springing up among Vincentian laity in various professions.

In the current context of the pandemic and the awakening to systemic racial injustice, what is the work to which God is calling us?

Do homeless people choose to be homeless? There are many valid reasons for choosing shelters and even the streets over home— if there is a home at all.

During this pandemic, we are learning not to lose sight of the risks and our absolute dependence on God, to make the most of each day that we live, and that we use these days to share more love with our family members as well as those outside our family circle … to dispense with which is not important.
