The VFEC has emphasized that the Famvin Homeless Alliance (FHA), of which the 13 Houses Project is a part, is our unique common project in the area of charity. Therefore, it must be promoted enthusiastically within the Vincentian Family to reach each member’s heart so that everyone becomes a part of this common initiative.
The homeless ranked high on Vincent’s agenda. A careful analysis of his life, writings, and conferences produces a very concrete picture of his works on their behalf.
Paul Behler was a founding member of the advocacy group Housing Our Neighbors; helped start Baltimore’s first street newspaper, Word on the Street, and was part of a Faces Of Homelessness Speakers Bureau.
