Homelessness

After three years of work, more than 30 families who lost their homes during the Volcán de Fuego eruption in 2018 now have a better and safer place to call home.

Global extreme poverty (<$1.90 USD per day) rose in 2020 adding an additional 119 million.  By 2021 that number is expected to rise to 143 million.

Frederic Ozanam once said that “Charity must never look to the past, but always to the future, because the number of its past works is still very small and the present and future miseries that it must alleviate are infinite.” 

Jesus says any time there is a hungry, thirsty or ostracized person, that person is Christ himself. And if we don’t share our food, our water, or our welcome, then we are rejecting the Incarnation of God in this world.
