Blessed Frédéric and his wife Amélie Soulacroix exemplified a deep, shared holiness that enriched their lives and inspired their service to the poor through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Their marriage, built on faith, mutual encouragement, and love, not only strengthened Frédéric in his vocation but also fostered Amélie’s Vincentian spirit, as they worked together to bring comfort and relief to those in need.

The Company of the Daughters of Charity was founded on November 29, 1633: after years of spiritual discernment and preparation, Louise gathered a group of young women dedicated to serving the poor, forming a community rooted in charity and solid virtues.

St. Catherine Labouré, although favored with the apparitions of the Virgin Mary, led an obscure life of silent dedication as a Daughter of Charity, devoting herself to the service of the needy until her death in 1876.
