Nuns on the Bus
The “Nuns on the Bus” wrapped up their 27 day tour on November 2 with its closing event, “Fiesta for the Common Good” and a final journey to President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. This journey, entitled “Tax Justice Truth Tour” hosted 54 events in 21 states from California to Florida. Did you know we had Vincentian representation along the way?

Sister of Charity of Cincinnati Andrea Koverman and Daughter of Charity Mary Ellen Lacy were riders on the bus. Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth Maryanne Tracey, Elizabeth Kremp and Mary Pauline Hogan joined them to attend the town hall in Morristown, New Jersey. Sister of Charity of Seton Hill Barbara Ann Smelko was there to meet the bus in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Sister of Charity of Cincinnati Ellen Dauwer, executive director of the Religious Formation Conference, met the bus and its riders in Chicago. Daughters of Charity joined NOTB events in St. Louis, Missouri. The Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kansas, showed their support in Denver and Los Angeles.
