MISEVI in Spain
In September, Idoia Makazaga, the President of MISEVI Spain, shared the following information about the activities of MISEVI Spain. It is interesting to note that MISEVI was initially begun in Spain, and has now spread to include 18 countries.
In Spain, we are missionaries in our usual locations and in the most daily ways: family, work, parishes, pastoral, associations, and neighborhoods. Additionally, there are also members who have been sent to Angola and Bolivia, which now include 3 members from Spain and 1 member from Argentina.
MISEVI Spain focuses its activity on
- sending, financial support and support for the return of missionaries Ad Gentes.
- The animation and missionary formation for the sustainability of the communities.
- Awareness-raising and development education activities.
- Collaboration with the Vincentian Family, dioceses, lay missionary organizations, and other NGO’s or foundations.
- Participation in the National Commission for the Vincentian Family in Spain.
- Missionary agreement with the Daughters of Charity for a shared mission in Lobito, Angola.
- Collaboration with Misevi Argentina, sending a missionary to Bolivia.
In the last 12 months, MISEVI Spain has also
- Participated as a lay missionary association in the Synodality process.
- Incorporated new members in Formation to get to know the association and/or prepare for new missionary shipments.
- Discussed the need for a Viability Plan for economic plan for sustaining the organization in the future.

I never cease to be amazed and thrilled with the way the Mission of Love is so creatively shared and promulgated.
