Dear brothers and sisters in Christ and Saint Vincent, we would like to share a little of what was our IV National Assembly of MISEVI, Mexico.

From August 12 to 14 of the current year, we met at the Provincial House of the Daughters of Charity, 5 full members along with 1 member in formation attended; we had the assistance of our National Advisor Father Jorge Pedroza, CM,

12 August

We began at 3:50 p.m. with a prayer where we ask our good God for the light of his Holy Spirit, to guide our work and a few words of welcome from President Carlos D. Arreola Moreno.

We share the work carried out during this period

In Mexico City we can highlight the work that was carried out together with the Daughters of Charity, supporting the Haitian migrants who stayed for a time in their house; we collaborated and taught them to weave scarves so that they could later sell them and have a little money.

In the lowland part of the country, a member collaborates with volunteers by organizing bazaars to raise funds and bring snacks to the relatives of patients who are outside the Covid-19 Hospital.

In the southeast of the country, our brothers held a vocational camp where they collaborated with the Daughters of Charity sharing topics and the organization in general.

13 August

On our second day of the Assembly we began with the celebration of the Eucharist by our advisor, and it was a training day.

Sister Gladys López, HC shared with us the theme “VINCENTIAN MISSIONARY IDENTITY.”

Martha Marín shared the theme with us via zoom “ COMMITMENT AND RESPONSIBILITY AS VINCENTIAN MISSIONARIES.”

We ended our day with community prayer and a delicious dinner.

14 August

We began the day with a prayer of meditation and after breakfast we participated in the Mass presided by Fr. Jorge Pedroza C.M. along with the Daughter of Charity. At the end of the Mass, each one of us shared with the sisters the missionary activities that we carry out in our cities. We had time to greet them a little more closely since due to the pandemic we had not lived with them. We continue with the work of the assembly.  This is the first time that he is with us due to the changes that have taken place in the province, for this reason he asked us to inform him of our activities and the history that MiSeVi has had in Mexico. . We finished our assembly at 1:30 p.m. and we shared the food together and later each one went to our places of origin.
