clapviCollaborating now with the mission of the Daughters of Charity in Beni, Bolivia are four Vincentian priest-missionaries. Sr. Geralda McCluskey, D.C., originally from the USA and now stationed in the mission, coordinates the missionaries as they serve the “priest-less” zones of the Daughter of Charity mission in the wilds of Trinidad and Eparu in the Department of Beni.

Answering the call to reconfiguration made by the General Assembly of the Congregation of the Mission, the Provinces of CLAPVI SUR responded with the initiative of an itinerant missionary team to address and promote missionary spirituality in the four provinces of CLAPVI-SUR (Aregentina, PerĂș, Chile and Ecuador, along with the Bolivian International Missions) in collaboration with the branches of the Vincentian Family and local churches. There are four missionary priests: Fr. Rodis Christensen (Chile), Felix Colichon (Peru), Julio Palacios (Ecuador), Fernando Sanchez (Argentina – Paraguay – Uruguay). They have been working several months in each province. Each of the provinces, and Bolivia arrange the mission as required.

They studied together in Colombia, and then the team formed up for their first month in Uruguay. Then they went to Argentina to participate in missions, retreats and training. They have already been to Ecuador, Peru and Chile. This is their final mission of the two-year cycle.
