Ten Seeds of Systemic Change in the Life and Works of Saint Vincent de Paul

“This is copied from the Systemic Change Seminar given by Mr. Jim Claffey last July 8, 2014 at the Adamson University. The Vincentian Social Ministry participated in the workshop. We share this with you in making systemic change relevant in our social programs and services.” (Some visitors may recognize this as an adaptation of material presented in various locations by Fr. Robert Maloney, CM).

The Vincentian Social Ministry is a networking body under the office of the Provincial Visitor of the Congregation of the Mission-Philippine Province tasked to coordinate, link up, animate, monitor, evaluate and recommend on the social apostolate of the Province.

Goals

Organization Development: To have a fully functional Vincentian Social Ministry with adequate resources for the implementation of its programs and services

Information and Databanking: To continuously update information on the Province-wide social development programs and initiatives

Technical Assistance and Capacity Building: To monitor and evaluate existing social development programs of Vincentian institutions, communities, and parishes and provide technical support, trainings, and seminars to help them in improving their social development programs, services, and delivery

Advocacy: To make a stand regarding different social concerns and current socio-political issues

Disaster Risk Reduction and Management: To build and enhance the capability of Vincentian institutions and partner communities in mitigating and addressing disaster

Resource Mobilization and Financial Management: To monitor and evaluate the financial management system of Vincentian institutions, communities, and parishes and help them generate funds for the implementation of social development programs
