An excerpt…

My husband’s favorite question in Lent is “Well, how is your Lent going?” That is a good question to ask ourselves as we ponder on the remainder of Lent, if my Lent has not gone well; I still have the opportunity to get back on track. Make that special effort to spend time basking in God’s love, especially in the suffering and death of Christ as he leads us to Easter. Jesus said, “Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there also will my servant be”. St Vincent challenged his followers to be God’s servant to the poor, to be followers of Jesus. As a Lady of Charity with that Vincentian heart, go make a difference in someone’s life so that they too may know God’s Love.

This week’s reflection was provided to us by Lorine Bourland, Vincentian Spiritual Moderator in Nashville, TN.
