Felix De Andreis was never beatified, and so does not have the title “Blessed.”

One recent source for his life was omitted from the article on him: John E. Rybolt, Felix De Andreis, Frontier Missionary. Chicago, 2005. I recommend it!

July 1 has nothing to do with DeAndreis. Where did this idea come from?

    Many thanks for the corrections.

    We welcome all such corrections.

The source for this particular article was the Catholic Encyclopedia as found on the New Advent website. (The last sentence about his process for canonization has also been removed.)

The “July listing” omitted that it was in July that he landed in the Baltimore.

The Vincentian Encyclopedia has been edited to reflect the above. Unlike print encyclopedias we can make such changes quickly.

We would appreciate the source for the article you reference. Was it by any chance “Vincentian Heritage”?
