Holy Mass
Join us for Holy Mass commemorating the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles. Fr. Tomaž Mavrič, CM, Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission, will lead the Mass. Markedly, devotees may receive plenary indulgences during this special liturgy that highlights The Basilica Shrine’s first-ever mass as a minor basilica.
Plenary Indulgences
Since Pope Francis has recognized The Basilica Shrine as a Minor Basilica, it is gifted the privilege of granting plenary indulgence. During these days, devotees, who visit The Basilica Shrine, may have all temporal consequences removed and be made new in God’s grace.
Papal bond
As a Minor Basilica, The Basilica Shrine holds a unique bond with the Papacy. This includes celebrating certain feast days, including the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul. This occasion reminds us of the importance of faith, courage, and sacrifice in Christian life. Above all, we can renew our commitment to following in the footsteps of two of the most prominent Apostles.
