Vincentian Family Schools Day in Ireland, on the Feast of St. Louise
The most recent Vincentian Family Schools Day was held on Tuesday 9th May. The day was kindly hosted by St. Louise’s Comprehensive College, Belfast. First year students from St. Paul’s College Raheny, Holy Faith Clontarf, St. Vincent’s Castleknock College and Caritas College Ballyfermot, along with their teachers, attended the day.
The day marked the celebration of the feast of St. Louise de Marillac, co- founder of the Daughters of Charity with St. Vincent de Paul. This year is the 200th Anniversary of St. Louise’s Lumière an experience during which she experienced God’s Holy Spirit guiding her to found the Daughters of Charity.
A big thank you to Sr. Claire McKiernan DC (FamVin Ireland Co-Ordinator), for organising the day. We are already looking forward to the next schools gathering on the Feast of St. Vincent in Castleknock College!
