CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the River Region awarded the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth with its Hero Organization Award at the Embrace a Child Breakfast on April 14. This award recognizes the commitment and dedication of organizations that support the work of CASA, which advocates for children who have faced abuse and neglect. Trained CASA volunteers provide a voice for these children as they navigate court proceedings. Since 2014, the SCN Ministry Fund has been a pillar of support for CASA. Sister Lisa Polega, SCN, is also in mission with CASA. Read more
