Transcript:
I’m Father Aidan Rooney, a Vincentian priest of the Eastern Province, and I’d like to thank you for accompanying our Miraculous Medal Family on our Lenten journey, as we have pondered how our Blessed Mother inspires us through her many earthly apparitions. We have seen and heard as one Catholic community, how Mary speaks directly to us, through her subtle yet spectacular image, words, and gestures; how she influences us and guides us by her eternal presence and her perfect example in fulfillment of God’s plan. We have learned how she delivers her timeless and universal message, leading us closer to her Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She wants us to know that only through His sacrifice can we, as sinners, hope to join Him one day in the Kingdom of God. Through her apparitions in France, Portugal, and Ireland, Poland, Bohemia, and Lithuania, in Mexico and Rwanda, and in many other nations, Our Blessed Mother continuously calls us to pray the holy rosary, to strengthen our faith, to commune with the Church, and to embody peace and love. She calls us to advocate for the conversion of sinners, and to come to the foot of the altar to seek many graces.
Six weeks ago, we began this Lenten journey together, and now, through the guidance of Our Blessed Mother, and the wisdom of many on-camera presenters, we have a better understanding of Jesus’ suffering and our own suffering; how our struggles and our sacrifices lead us toward the joy of redemption. I’m very pleased to tell you, although this Lenten period has passed and we now celebrate Jesus’ resurrection, this video series, Lent, Through the Eyes of Mary, will remain available to you on our website, miraculousmedal.org, and on the Miraculous Medal Shrine’s YouTube Channel. I hope you will review these videos again and again to witness the miracles that Mary bestows on us all. God bless you.
