During a talk on the Gifts of St. Louise de Marillac, Fr. Richard McCullen, CM remarked:

“That we have received a spiritually rich legacy from Saint Louise is certain. Perhaps we have not been fully aware of the size and value of that legacy she has left us. One is reminded of the poor man who for years took up a certain spot on the road every day to beg. It was only some years after his death that it was discovered that there is a gold mine under his feet of which he was unaware.”

That was written in 1991 and thankfully today there is an ever-greater awareness and appreciation of Saint Louise. See more in the presentation below.
