Archbishop-elect Andrew E. Bellisario, C.M., recounts, “My dad always told me, ‘You have to look out for the little guy. There is no one to care for the little guy.’ I always suspect the reason he always said that was because he himself was a little guy” (https://www.ncronline.org/news/people/pope-merges-anchorage-archdiocese-juneau-diocese-names-archbishop. This video is really worth watching , too).
His dad, and mom, exemplify for me what it means to move from (1) awareness, through (2) understanding, and (3) action (see John Freund, https://www.johnfreund.net/2020/05/20/is-vincents-journey-your-journey/).
