On September 22nd, in the Parish of Our Lady of the Assumption, Campo Largo, Brazil, members of the Vincentian Family gathered together in order to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Curitiba Province of the Congregation of the Mission.

The celebration was presided by Father Tomaz Mavric CM, Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission and President of the Executive Committee of the Vincentian Family, who encouraged the participants to work together in the 13 Houses Campaign. Around 1500 members of the different branches attended the celebration: Congregation of the Mission, Daughters of Charity, AIC, Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, Miraculous Medal Association, Vincentian Marian Youth and Misevi. There was also a significant number of representatives from the 23 parishes that are administered by the Congregation.

The closing Eucharist was presided by José Carlos Chacorowski CM, Bishop of Caraguatatuba. As a symbolic gesture, during the celebration members of the different branches of the Family carried 13 small houses and signed a commitment to work together as a Family on a project in Southern Brazil.

We pray that God, through the intercession of St. Vincent de Paul, may bless this collaborative undertaking.
