On Monday, April 25, members of the Commission for the Promotion of Systemic Change and the Vincentian Family Collaboration Commission met in Bayside, New York. Their purpose was to share with one another the work of their Commissions and to seek ways in which they could support one another in their ministry. Both Commissions deal with the ongoing formation of the members of the Vincentian Family. Both seek to awaken within the Family the conviction that by only by working together in the promotion of systemic change can we maximize our effectiveness in the fight against poverty. This meeting also laid the ground work for the meeting of all Vincentian Family Commissions which will take place in Rome from January 19 – 22, 2017.
