Vincentian Family celebrates collaboration in Madrid
On the Vigil of Pentecost the Year of Vincentian Collaboration began with the celebration of the Eucharist in the Basilica
On May 23rd, the Vigil of Pentecost, representatives from the different branches of the Vincentian Family in Madrid gathered together in the Basilica in order to celebrate the Eucharist and to give thanks to God at the beginning of the “Year of Vincentian Collaboration”.
The Superior General has convoked us to celebrate this time of collaboration under the theme:
“together in Christ, we, as Vincentians, can make a difference”
The objectives of this year which will continue until the celebration of Pentecost 2016 are:
- To celebrate: through thanksgiving reflection and action
- To connect and learn: to come to know and to relate with the various branches of the Vincentian Family
- To serve: to minister together as we follow Jesus Christ and engaged in committed service on behalf of the poor.
After the Eucharist that was presided by Father Miguel Ángel Renes and that was prepared by the Coordinating Commission of the Vincentian Family in Madrid we share a meal that had been prepared by the members of the parish.

My apologies! An earlier version of this post wrote Barcelona rather than Madrid where the actual celebration took place.
