This news note about a ten year old Vincentian Fundraiser from Jim Paddon, President at Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Ontario, Canada.
SMALL BUT MIGHTY!
How delighted we were to recently meet with one of our young parishioners, holding not one but two donations for our families in need!
Claire, just 10 years old, had personally organized two fundraisers this summer. She set up a lemonade stand-a surefire way to satisfy customers while receiving donations for a good cause. Claire also held a raffle at a family graduation celebration, raising funds because she recognized that school is important. She was concerned that some students in her community needed money for their education and graduation.
Mother Teresa has said, “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving”. We are confident that Claire’s heart was full of love when she set about with determination to give to the children we serve. Thank you Claire!
