Santa-Luisa“We begin this month getting ready for our Lenten journey towards Easter, and in order to help our preparation you can find on the SLIDER above a link to the Lenten Message of our Holy Father Francis in 6 languages. (The Lenten Letter of Fr. Gregory Gay, our General Superior, will be available soon on the SIDEBAR.)”

With these words the Daughters of Charity welcome visitors to their refreshed website.

Among the highlights…

This month the Church and the Vincentian Family celebrate Saint Louise de Marillac, Foundress of the Company of the Daughters of Charity and the most faithful and important collaborator of Saint Vincent de Paul. In PRAYER CORNER you are invited to follow his invitation to contemplate this “portrait of humility, charity, gentleness, and patience” and to “striv[e] to pattern your lives on hers” (SV X, 585). Below, you will find a table with links to all the presentations we have made on Saint Louise, or you can just go to PRAYER CORNER ARCHIVES.

In FOCUS ON you will find an article on Zafèn, a project supported by Vincentian Family to help to rebuild Haiti, which is a very good example of how to live what Pope Francis has spoken on several occasions and in his Lenten Message. And in the second part of the month there will be a testimony of our Sisters of the Community of Bebalem, in the Republic of Chad.

In MEDIA there is a video with one of our collaborators at a Vincentian school in Spain, who shares her thoughts and experiences in living the Vincentian charism in the world of education.

Finally, go to LATEST NEWS to see the most recent articles on the ministry of the Daughters of Charity to those who are poor worldwide.
