Retreat Facilitators:

Sr. Frances Ryan, DC, Ph.D. is Professor Emerita, College of Education and Catholic Studies, DePaul University. She serves as a national spiritual moderator of the Ladies of Charity in the USA.  She has co-authored the book Vincent DePaul and Louise de Marillac: Rules, Conferences and Writings (Paulist Press, 1995) and is presently writing a book about Sister Rosalie’s Parlor and Her Spirituality. This Year’s Retreat Theme is:  SISTER ROSALIE RENDU IN THE MARKETPLACE: THE POWER OF COLLABORATION.

The Retreat will focus on an exploration of Blessed Rosalie’s journey of interiority in the spiritual life and what kept her ‘going’ as she experienced ‘the marketplace’ in serving the Poor.’

Sr. Sharon Richardt, DC, Ph.D. is the Director of Mater Dei Retreat and Spirituality Center.  She has been involved with spiritual retreats, formation of the laity for the past 40 years.

Schedule

Retreat opens at 12 noon with lunch on Thursday, September 26 followed by a Spiritual Conference.  There will be one to two talks a day, with opportunities for communal and private prayer, group dialogues, daily Liturgy, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and private optional visits with Sr. Fran and Sr. Sharon.  The Retreat will conclude on Sunday, September 29 with Liturgy and lunch.
