“Courageous Charity – Deepening Collaboration”

The Sisters of Charity of  Leavenworth (SCL) hosted  the annual Federation leadership and NGO liaison  meeting in Leavenworth,  Kansas. The theme of the  Federation meeting was  “Courageous Charity— Deepening Collaboration”.

Donna Markham OP, addressed the Charity Federation at their annual gathering. Using the Pentecost image of disciples being sent she challenged us to leave the upper room of our stability and mindsets and be open to communal conversion. Responder Mary Beth Kubera DC asked, “What is the risk for mission that God is asking for the [Charity] Federation?”

Next year’s meeting is hosted by Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati.
