Jeanne Antide found in the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul a community that combined prayer, community living, and ministry to the poor. But they were disbanded during the French Revolution, and all of the Sisters were sent back to their hometowns. Providence led her to found new community in the Vincentian Tradition
