What did you give up, Gramma?

lynn“What did you give up for Lent? Which is the topic of my youngest grandchildren, my answer is complicated.  I decided to give more of myself to others in thought word and deed. So last night when they asked again, I told them I gave up hurting others and chose to be nice to others.  Aden, my 6 year old grandson, pondered that and said, “Gramma that is a good thing to give up cause you are too old for chocolate and candy and being nice is always good.”  So I have the approval of the children.  I pledge to you, every Vincentian that you will be in my daily prayers.”
