A "registry" for things people need to live

In support of one of their sponsored ministries the Sisters of Charity have created a sort of registry for practical things people need in their Bronx catchment area. It seems like an interesting variation of the bridal gift registry approach.

They use their Part of the Solution (POTS) Facebook page to post specific needs and hope that someone will step up to address this practical need.

POTS addresses low-income people’s most immediate, basic needs and helps them take the next steps to stabilize and improve their lives

They see as their mission to be a loving community in the Bronx that nourishes the basic needs and hungers of all who come to our door.

POTS is a program widely recognized for its unwavering commitment to addressing root causes of poverty, always in an atmosphere of respect and compassion. Its mission is to be a loving community that nourishes the basic needs and hungers of all who seek assistance. POTS services include a Community Dining program that serves hundreds of hot meals each day, a clothing program, a food pantry serving over 600 families a month, medical care, pastoral counseling, psychotherapy, free legal services and more.
