Sisters from 1970’s and later  Gather at Nazareth Dozens of Sisters of Charity from across the United States, Canada and Belize, Central America, are meeting in Nazareth, Ky., this weekend. Those gathering represent vowed, consecrated religious women who have joined their respective communities since 1970. “70s and Beyond” participants come from several different communities, all members of the Charity Federation. They trace their roots to Sts. Vincent de Paul, Louise de Marillac and Elizabeth Ann Seton. The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth are hosting the gathering. SCNs are celebrating 200 years of ministry this year. Those attending “70s and Beyond” activities say this is an ideal way to come together to pray, share and network. The “70s and Beyond” gatherings also help deepen awareness of the Sister of Charity spirit and the relationship with other Sisters across the Charity Federation.
