Dr. Michael Thio, President of VIncent dePaul Society  announces that  the Daughters of  Charity have presented them with  the precious gifts of the holy  relics of St. Louise de Marillac  and also that of Blessed  Sister Rosalie Rendu. “The  President General, Dr.  Michael Thio, received these  with great honour from Sister  Rosa Maria Miro, General  Assistant, at their  Motherhouse at rue de Bac on  8 March 2012. A special and  grateful thanks to Sister  Evelyne Franc, Superior  General, for her consent.
These honoured relics have been placed in our chapel in our Headquarters in Paris. This marked a significant event in the history of the SOCIETY and endorses the very  close relationship and solidarity that is existing between the Daughters of Charity and  the SOCIETY. We express our sincere and deep appreciation to the Daughters of  Charity for this wonderful and inspiring Gifts of Love.  St Louise de Marillac was the  co-founder of the Daughters  of Charity with St. Vincent  de Paul. Blessed Sister
Rosalie Rendu was very  closely associated with our  early founders and provided  them with inspiring advice,  counseling and guidance in  their early formation spiritually  and in their works of mercy in  serving the poor. Tremendous  assistance was extended by her to our first conference members of the Society.”

Am I missing something here? Rosalie Rendu was born in 1786, died 1856. Both Vincent and Louise died in 1660. The above quote sounds as if Sister Rosalie provided Vincent and Louise with advice and counseling. That would be impossible since she was born 126 years after Vincent and Louise died. Was the quote sort of mixed up? gh
