"Struggle Street" vs. "Easy Street" in Australia

In an eerie echo of the way Charles  Dickens “The Tale of Two Cities” is playing out across the globe today, the Australian CM site draws attention to a piece entitled “Struggle St vs Easy St – ‘no-one knows’ how to fix it”  “News.com.au’s Cost of Living survey, now completed by more than 30,000 Australians, has found the nation’s two-speed economy is creating a two-tier community. Haves and have-nots are split almost down the middle and “battler belts” are scattered among pockets of prosperity in our major cities and regional centres. The site provides an insightful interactive map to highlight its contentions. A few days earlier the same paper had a feautured Q and A with John Falzon, President of the SVDP in Australia.
