Partnering with Muslims and Christians in Gaza, the Daughters of Charity help bring people to the fullness of health and relieve suffering, which enables recipients to better cope with a stressful post-war situation under an extremist government. The dedicated, religiously-diverse volunteer staff includes a sister, a local doctor, social worker, one employed program organizer, and 15 local community service volunteers. Collectively they work closely with local regional Gaza committees to identify individuals in most need of medical care each month. The sisters and their collaborators provide transportation and accommodations for disadvantaged individuals requiring medical attention. The sisters seek $10,000 to finance medicines, surgeries, physical therapy, transportation, and specialized medical tests to the most marginalized populations.
