Can they top this? The 2010 Friends of the Poor Walk attracted more than 17,600 friends, and raised more than $1.4 million in over 200 locations. In preparation for the feast of Vincent the St. Vincent de Paul Society hopes to do better under the banner of “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” on September 24-25. One thing is certain… they will get “A” for effort. But early indications are they will do better this year.
