In a feature complete with excellent graphics the Huffington Post features Zafen in its October 8 edition. Zafèn Haitian Microfinance Effort Engages Haitians to Forge a New Future. Zafèn has raised $140,000 in loans and donations that have funded 300 projects thus far. Many of the loans have already been paid back.

Our community at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore spent some time in studying how we could support one of the many projects for Haiti. Obviously we made the right choice in supporting a Zafen project. Congratulations to all those who worked on this and made it possible for others to support it. What a worthwhile project!
