Zafen ...wonders if you’ve been boating lately?

The fishermen of Petit-Anse depend on boats for their livelihood and need new motors that save gas. Fuel expenses have been eating up profits. Can you help this co-op acquire fuel-efficient motors to transform their business? This loan will help the COPPA cooperative to purchase fuel-efficient engines for the motorboats of the fishermen of Petit-Anse. Petit-Anse is one of the most impoverished neighborhoods in Cap-Haiten, and fishing is the main commercial enterprise. Many families depend on revenues from fishing — men do the fishing and women work as vendors selling seafood in the neighborhood. The new engines that COPPA plans to purchase will greatly increase the revenues of the fisherman, as COPPA has been unable to make profits in recent years because their expenses kept getting higher, mainly because they spent a great deal of money on engine repair. Additionally, the new engines consume only 1/3 of the fuel than the engines that are currently in use, thereby reducing costs even further.
