1-mission crossThe Summer Vincentian Popular Mission ‘09 is another initiative of Adamson University in order to carry-on the Vincentian legacy of creatively responding to those who are in need and evangelizing through words and deeds. This program follows a similar one in ’08.

Last summer twenty-nine Adamsonian missionaries, including the President of Adamason University, Fr. Gregg Banaga, CM (pictured here on the left)fr gregg visits missionaries headed for Batobalani, Paracale, Camarines Norte for a two-week Vincentian Popular Mission  From May 22-June 9, the said volunteers, comprised of 21 students, six personnel and two CM priests, served three barangays of St. Roche Parish. The team lived with the local folk, had a daily “dialogue of life” and encouraged them to take the sacraments. Among the most significant activities of the mission were: celebration of the Eucharist and the other sacraments, children’s catechism, mission talks and bible study, youth and adult recollection, sportsfest, rosary and house blessings .  As a culminating activity, a mission rally was held and the Mission Crosses were planted in the barangays of Dagang, Pinagbirayang Munti and Malacbang. These are not only a reminder that the places had been visited by the missionaries but it is hoped that the crosses may serve as constant inspiration for the local folk to continue the work that has been started by the teams.
