bensonFr Richard Benson CM from the United States is currently visiting Australia by invitation of the St Vincent de Paul Society, according to the Australian CM site. He will give workshops, talks and retreats for the St Vincent de Paul Society in Sydney, Canberra and Galong in New South Wales, and in Cairns, Townsville, Brisbane and Toowoomba in Queensland.

Last year, Fr Benson was one of the speakers at the WYD FamVin Celebration, and in an evening session at Ashfield in Sydney he was able to catch up with some of those who attended that gathering and celebrate Eucharist with them.  He also found time to spend an evening with some seventy parishioners, DCs and CMs at St Vincent’s Parish at Ashfield speaking on the topic of The Vision of Vincent – Recognising and Responding to Christ in the Poor, followed by celebration of the Eucharist.

Just a correction to the above. Canberra, the capital of Australia, is in the Australian Capital Territory, not in New South Wales.
