Systemic change: “To change the situation of those living in poverty, we take the whole reality into account. We intervene in a way that the whole system is altered.”
GOALS:
As the Vincentian Family, we will:

  • Listen and share stories about the plight of those living in poverty, especially as it relates to
    training and employment in today’s economic climate
  • Learn how to begin to bring about systemic change against overwhelming odds
  • Engender hope

Meeting Registration Fee: $145.00—includes all meals and full Gathering attendance

KEYNOTE SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT

allison_boisvertAllison Boisvert is a Social Justice Minister for Pax Christi Catholic Community. Prior to this position she worked for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis for 23 years. She began her career as an entry level worker and retired from the agency as a Senior Director in charge of all housing and emergency services for the homeless. During her time at Catholic Charities she was privileged to build nine housing programs. Ms. Boisvert was a single mother and welfare recipient and has a deep appreciation for what it takes to rise from poverty and maintain self sufficiency in the middle class.
