Villa Siena, a residential care and nursing facility, which is sponsored by the Daughters of Charity, Province of the West, received an award for outstanding patient care.

The Excellence in Action award recognizes nursing homes throughout the country that are committed to continuous compassionate and quality care. My Inner View, an independent research firm, awarded 299 awards nationwide, with only 13 in the state of California.

Receiving this award signifies that their 2007 Family, Patient and Staff Survey received a minimum 30 percent response rate and scored in the top 10 percent of qualifying facilities. “We work to preserve our heritage of serving the sick and poor by adapting to their needs,” reports Sr. Christena Papavero, DC, Formation Councillor and Chair, Villa Siena Foundation Board of Directors. “Since 1998, when we assumed sponsorship of Villa Siena, we’ve stayed close to our residents and their families to ensure they receive the quality, compassionate care they deserve.”

The facility is located on 4.3 acres in Mountain view, California.
