Getting help with access to transportation

    Programs like this one in Kentucky and the Wisconsin Work-n-Wheels program we wrote about last month (see: http://famvin.org/en/archive/work-n-wheels-programs-puts-cars-in-hands-of-the-poor)are extremely important. Low-income workers spend a much higher percentage of their income (approximately 36%) on transportation than do higher income workers. Often they are forced to make hard choices between transporation to work and other basic needs.
