Gold medalist trains chefs in Bay Area SSVDP "Kitchen of Champions"

Michael Stamm, who won gold and silver medals for swimming in the 1972 Olympics, is now training people to cook for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Oakland, California. “We want,” he says, “to give people a hand up, not a handout.” Read the local newspaper’s story and also check out the article in the Diocese of Oakland newspaper.
