As I mentioned in my circular of 15 March, which concerned our most recent tempo forte council meeting, we had begun looking for a new Treasurer General to replace Fr. Elmer Bauer. Today I write to inform you that we have found one. Fr. John GOULDRICK has accepted graciously our request that he take up this service for the worldwide Congregation and the Eastern Province is making the sacrifice, equally graciously, of a valuable confrere.
Let me offer you a brief presentation of Fr. Gouldrick. He was born on 5 May 1941 in Victor, New York. He entered the Congregation of the Mission on 19 June 1962 and was ordained to the priesthood on 30 May 1969. He has served in a variety of ministries over the past 35 years including that of Provincial Treasurer of the Eastern Province. He is presently the superior at the Central House in Philadelphia. I believe that he comes to us very well prepared to serve as Treasurer General.
We expect him to arrive in Rome sometime in September. Fr. Elmer Bauer and he will be working out the details of the transition and Fr. Elmer will stay on as long as necessary to assure that the changeover is smooth.
I trust that you join me in welcoming Fr. Gouldrick to this new service and in thanking Fr. Bauer for the generosity with which he has fulfilled this position for the past seven years.

Dear father john ,I know it has been awhile since last we wrote.All is well here in so.Buffalo. Right now we are slowly thawing out.Just a few more weeks till spring! I have been mentoring confirmation candidates.You have taught me well!THANK you!The mass will be April 21,If you would please pray. To whom it may concern : I am proud to say that i was taught by Vincentian fathers ! Fr john Gouldrick being one of them . That was about 20 yrs.ago, receiving a BA in religious Sudies from Niagara University .Fr. john taught me many of my religion / theology classes. Keeping the love of OUR LORD and the Eucharist in my heart !I try to teach my clases the way i had been taught , starting off with a prayer. Thank you .p.s. cool to find out that i went to the same place that a person is is on his way to Sainthood did. Father Nelson Baker . NU had been a seminary OUR LADY of the ANGELS !Yours in Christ mary elizabeth Father John Gouldrick was and is an outstanding human being. Although we have lost touch his Christian religion and responsibility class was the best class by far to be involved in. It taught me the correct way to look at situations and come to the morally correct decision. It’s been 25 years . I can only hope I can leave an impression on someone like he has with me .3 Comments

Father John Gouldrick was and is an outstanding human being. Although we have lost touch his Christian religion and responsibility class was the best class by far to be involved in.
