Aid Group Seeks to Bolster UN Efforts to Combat Malaria

With significant help from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the aid group PATH is seeking to bolster UN efforts to combat malaria in Zambia, where it hopes to cut malaria-related deaths by 75%. The initiative, which received $35 million from the Gates Foundation, is aiming to serve as an example for the beleaguered Roll Back Malaria campaign backed by the World Bank, the World Health Organization and other UN agencies seeking to fight malaria throughout Africa.
