SYDNEY, August 13, 2004 (smh.com.au): The West, rich and getting richer, ignores the growing desperation of the poor at its peril, writes Benazir Bhutto in The Sydney Morning Herald –  While the world focuses on the war against terrorism, the war against poverty slides on to the backburner.
