June 22, 2004

An issue Vincent would surely be concerned with today. – “Human trafficking is defined as the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person for labor or services through the use of force, fraud, or coercion, for the purpose of subjecting that person to involuntary servitude, peonage, debt bondage, or slavery.” “Stop Trafficking”

The newsletter is offered as a forum for exchange among women’s religious congregations and collaborating organizations

• to promote awareness re. the issue of human trafficking;
• to exchange means for the healing and empowerment of victims of human trafficking; and
• to promote actions that help eliminate human trafficking.
