Innovative Irish Lenten Series Features Youth Speaking Out

Young Voices for Lent –
On each Sunday of Lent at 6.30 pm Mass in St. Peter’s Phibsboro  we will have a young person speak to us about his or her work in bringing good news to others.
First Sunday: February 29th Michael King

Michael is a founder of Suas, an organization which is sending 60 young volunteers to Calcutta and Kenya this Summer.

Second Sunday: March 7th : Niamh O’Flaherty of I.H.C.P.T.

Niamh is a volunteer with I.H.C.P.T. which  brings people with learning difficulties to Lourdes each Easter.

Third Sunday: March 14th  Helen Walsh

Helen has developed and guided the new choir for the Sunday evening Mass over the last six months and is a former Vincentian volunteer.

Fourth Sunday: March 21st Angela Lynch
Angela is an M.A. student in Milltown Park and has been giving talks on St. Vincent to those working in the wider Vincentian family works and ministries.

Fifth Sunday:  March 28th

Chinedu Onyejelem, Editor of Metro Eireann
Chinedu is from Nigeria and will speak on the experience of displacement from one’s own country.
