On Friday 24th October 2003 a group of nine young people under the leadership of Fr. Michael McCullagh, CM travelled to Paris to learn more about the Vincentian Family, namely, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Louise de Marillac, Blessed Frederic Ozanam and Sr. Rosalie Rendu.
We invite you to join with us now in sharing this journey through the streets of Paris……

“Fr. Hugh O’Donnell, CM, introduced us to Moufftard District where we walked the streets where Sr. Rosalie Rendu, DC  (1786-1856) worked with the poor of Paris.  This was one of the most impoverished areas of Paris with disease, unhealthly slums dwellings and destitution being the daily lot of the people.

“We  visited the Parish church of St. Medard (above) where Sr. Rosalie began to put resources in place to help the poor, such as a free clinic, a pharmacy, a school, an orphanage, a child care centre and a home for the elderly. ”
